E 'alert for dust of the Icelandic volcano
The United Nations agency for health is on alert for dust. At the time, said from Geneva, the cloud is high in the atmosphere, but once on the ground there might be problems for those with chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma.
The cloud is a mix of water vapor, sulfur dioxide, fluoride and volcanic ash components in silicon-based: the eruption was not fueled by toxic gases, volcanologists say. The finer components of ash and sulfur compounds and fluoride, once descended to the ground, inhalation may aggravate the health of those who are already suffering from respiratory problems.
